Security Patrols

Overview

Annual membership dues allow the Arden Park Neighborhood Association to contract with a private security services agencies and local law enforcement (when available) for additional security patrols in the neighborhood.

How Patrols Work in Arden Park

A combination of officers from California Security Agency (CSA) and off-duty Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputies provide security patrols at various times of the day, seven (7) days a week. Some items to note:
  • We do not publish the schedule and we attempt to vary it as much as possible, so that would-be criminals don't know when patrols are on duty.
  • There are 22 linear miles to cover in Arden Park, including the exterior roads of Arden Way, Watt Ave, Fair Oaks Blvd and Eastern Ave, so be aware that the officers can't be in every place at the same time. Patrol officers provide reports and their cars have GPS so that the APNA can track to ensure they are going to every street as many times as possible during each shift.
  • If residents call for service and there is not an officer on duty in Arden Park, the dispatch officer will attempt to direct a nearby officer to respond to the call. If there is no such officer nearby and available, we do ask them to check on the issue when they next come on shift.
